• Bakakodia

Okokodiagbene village northwest of Bakakodia, Niger delta approximately 20 km northeast of the mouth of the Encravos River & 55km westnorthwest of Warri.

Presently only known from the type locality.

A temporary pool on an unnamed island in the western Niger delta area. This is situated at the edge of a freshwater seasonal mangrove swamp area.

C.B.Powell made 2 collecting trips to the type locality. The type specimens were collected on the first trip but the pool was dry on his second visit.

Not maintained in aquaria. Wildekamp (1995) considered them to be annual accounting for geographic position with an incubation period of 2-3 months.
