A breeding report by Adrian Burge in BKA newsletter No.218, October 1983 gave information where the breeder placed them in a 12" square tank in water of DH 20, pH 7-7·2. Temperature recommendations for this sp. are on the cool side of 70-72°F but good results were had at 80°F where 30 eggs were collected on this day.
Water incubation at 72°F takes 19 days. Infusoria was fed for the first couple of days.

Diameter of Egg1·5 mm.
