Ethiopia & Kenya. This sp. is found in a large distribution area in lakes & river basins from Ethiopia to Nairobi, Kenya. |

Clear, slow moving waters with vegetation. Also found near river banks. Water depth up to 5 metres. Water pH alkaline to neutral. Water temperature ranges from 24 - 34°C. |
