| Type Locality |
Ngounie´ Province, Gabon. Tsamba-Magotsi district. 1 km west of Ikobey on the road from Route 22 to Sindara, a small stream named Don- do part of the Ikoy River drainage (01°02.986 S, 10°58.726 E). Collected 17 July 2014 by Wolfgang Eberl & Francois Mengila. |

Currently only known from the type locality. Northern part of Du Chaillu Massif. |

| Habitat |
A small stream ( Dondo) which at the time of
collection was not wider than 60 cm & not deeper than 20 cm. |

| Distinguishing Characteristics | Heavy
red lines & spots on body & all unpaired fins on males. Females have 4 grey/brown lines running horizontally along the body. The bottom line consists of a row of 4-5 reddish dots. |

Bill Shenefelt commented that they were not easy to breed & he only raised 3 females & 1 male from his original stock. |
