C89 / 16 - Mamu stream, 2 km Ekona - Tiko A.poliaki. Bright orange/red pectoral fins. Died after a few days & not returned alive to Germany.

C89 / 20 - 17 km from Edéa Collected 12th July. A.edeanum, A.loennbergi, E.sexfasciatus sexfasciatus, Procatopus sp. Collected in a small stream overgrown with bamboo. The Epiplatys & Procatopus sp. died shortly after capture.
C89 / 21 - Song Bibai A.loennbergi, E.sexfasciatus sexfasciatus. The A.loennbergi were an intense re/orange colouration.
C89 / 22 - N'konga Collected 12th July at 12 noon. In the villlage of Nkonga 3-6kms north of Pouma on the road to Sakbayémé. Stream was 20 cm deep with a width of 1 - 2 metres. Clear water with 'average strength' flow. Water temperature 23°C, pH 7, 0 dGH.
A.amoenum
(3 half grown fish collected), A.loennbergi (resembled the previous location), a few small barbs & some cichlids.
The collectors returned to this site to collect more fish. The A.loennbergii jumped out into the overhanging grasses.
C89 / 23 - Cellucam (a factory name), 10kms north east of Edéa. A.ahli, A.loennbergi, A.franzwerneri, A.riggenbachi, E.sexfasciatus sexfasciatus. A forest stream behind the Cellucam factory which was closed down. The stream was only 10 cm deep. The A.riggenbachi had purple rather than white extensions to the caudal fin. Also they had a relatively small body size. This was a very shy sp.
This was an area of many 'fist to head' sized boulders.

C89 / 26 - 6kms From Mouanko to Edéa DKG list this location but 6kms from where (?). A.ahli, A.aff.splendopleure
C89 / 27 - Mbimbé, Mouanko to Edéa Aply.macrophthalmus, A.aff.splendopleure. Stream was dried out.
C89 / 28 - Mode/Matomb A.raddai. The biotope was a standing pool about 20 metres long & slightly less wide. The base was thick mud & decaying leaves & water depth was 30cms. Marsh gas (Hydrogen sulphide) bubbled up to the surface. This gave the area a bad egg smell. In 2 hours 3 adult pairs were collected. A small stream ran from the pool where half grown A.raddai were collected in large numbers. In this area the base was gravel with wood blocking the stream. A few males & 15 females were taken from this biotope.

C 89 / 41 DKG list this as Matomb, 52kms west of Yaounde with a question mark (?).
C 89 / 42 Fished on 26th July 1989 by Wolfgang Eberl, Oliver Legros & Bas Vlijm. Near Matomb II 7·8kms northeast of the turning off the Axe Lourd to Matomb. Water temperature 23°C, stream was 40 cm deep & 1·5 metres wide, fast flowing with a pH of 6·5 & a 0 hardness dGH. Also colected were barbs & Mormyridae sp. A.obscurum.

C 89 / 45 - Biang, 9·2 km, N. Pouma A.loennbergii
C 89 / 46 - 4·1 kms north of Biang (Bihiang) 4·1kms north of Biang, on the Pouma to Sakbayémé road. Collected 26th July at 2.30 pm. Water temperature 25°C, pH 6, dGH 1°. Stream was 25 cm deep & 75 cm wide. Syntopic sp. A.loennbergii. A.amoenum.
