 No known codes but also known as the 'Benue gardneri'.
History
 A form was imported by BKA Species Import in May 1974. This was distributed to members as the 'Benue gardneri'. Another import was received in June. It was described as being similar to Jos Plateau in the pattern of the anal & caudal fins but the overall colouration differed. Body was a rich blue, perhaps ultramarine overlayed with few small red or carmine spots. They had wide orange bands in the margins of the unpaired fins.
Reported to exceed 3" in length.

In 2004 I raised a few fish from a yellow phase Makurdi pair & found this blue phase variant.
Note the anal fin which shows a weak submarginal red band. No yellow.
